How to write the very first blog post?
I don’t want to take too long making decisions here, so I will connect my actions with what is already familiar. In this case I can pretend I am presenting new information on a card, flyer, or invitation and include: who, what, why, how. It would be nice if I could find a nice card to help me along, this would be very simple and in a way distractingly enjoyable. Imagine the following is written in the nicest crafted card you have ever seen: (WHO) My name is Victoria and I like to teach others how to be resourceful and creative. (Why) (check! I already answered this question!) I plan to be more interactive by adding a blog to my site to share many ideas in the areas of art, culture, re-purposing, altering, and creative possibilities. (What) This is a Tinkering Blog. It is a how-to-manual as well as a creation showcase. It is a place for brainstorming, learning, beginner workshops, and overall generating ideas. (How) it is easy to generate ideas, all we need is a little inspiration and the aha! moment is triggered. “If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” ~George Bernard Shaw You will see annotations, a tiny Spanish section for items lost in translation, and some analysis of comments. There is always room for improvement and feedback is appreciated. I hope your ideas flow and this blog stays on your bookmarked files forever. I can already see how well this is going to work out. If only I could see what you imagined as the best crafted card you have ever seen. |
